yoga classes
Weekly yoga classes and special events focused on relaxation and bringing balance to your life
Classes are every Monday and Thursday. Learn more about each class type below.
Restorative Yoga
The most gentle form of yoga, where poses are held for 10-15 min. This is an entirely passive practice and while we move our bodies, the real focus is on supporting the nervous system. You are ensured comfort, as various props (blankets, bolsters, blocks and more) are used which will allow the body to settle and feel at ease. Restorative yoga helps quiet the mind and support overall wellbeing and mental health. Many people starting with yoga, those with injuries, illness, mobility issues and others looking for a more restful practice will find solace in the candlelit surrounds.
Classes are 7:30-8:30 pm, every Thursday— €60/five weeks of classes. Classes are held at the Ballyneety Innovation Hub (eircode V947W13). If you are new to yoga or haven’t felt welcome in other yoga spaces, I will welcome you and help you find customisations that feel good for you and your body.
Accessibility Notes: This is an entirely floor-based class without continuous movements up and down off the mat. Available props include bolsters, blankets, blocks, chairs and straps to ensure you can customise your practice.
The next five week block of classes starts the 13th of November. If you would like to try a drop-in class, see here.
YIN YOGA
This 60 minute yin class is a slower paced form of yoga, where poses are held for 2-5 minutes. This allows the movements to target and go more deeply to support fascia, ligaments and joints. It’s very important to me that my classes are inclusive for all bodies. You will be provided with multiple ways to adjust postures so they feel good for you and your unique needs.

Yes. I teach mixed level classes and always provide options for students so you can make any adjustments that feel best for you. I also encourage everyone to explore with the use of props.
-
Of course. Yoga really isn’t not about flexibility. Yoga is about coming to a safe space, getting in some movement and relaxation. My classes are not about competition (with yourself or anyone else), flexibility or even strength. The most important things to me are: you being present, nervous system support and you finding movement that feels best for you.
-
More than likely. I encourage anyone with an injury to check in with their doctor before starting any class, particularly if you have an injury. When in doubt, double check with them. The most important thing is you let me know so I can help you adjust any movements necessary. My classes are much more gentle that the almost-acrobatics seen in the media.
-
Drop in classes are €15 euros/class or five week class terms are €60— for yin and restorative yoga. Pregnancy yoga classes are €85 for a five week class term.
-
Yes they can. Teens must be 12 years and older to attend and must be accompanied by an adult attending the class with them— no waiting in the car park.
-
My pregnancy yoga classes include gentle movement, relaxation, breathing techniques and more to help you prepare for labour— so I would consider these ideal. If the class days or times do not suit you, you can of course attend my other classes. Some adjustments may need to be made due to pregnancy, and I’m a knowledgeable teacher to help you do so.

I encourage you to wait a minimum of six weeks postpartum before coming back to movement. If you have any concerns about coming to class, then I encourage you to contact your GP just to be doubly sure. When coming back to yoga, I also encourage you to start with more gentle classes, like restorative or yin yoga.
